Welcome and thanks for visiting the Georgia Business Aviation Association (GBAA).  It is the mission of the Georgia Business Aviation (GBAA) to promote business aviation in the State of Georgia as well as educate and advance the recognition of business aviation and its importance to the state and economy.  We are also committed to bringing aviation professionals together for networking and educational seminars.  Please spend some time viewing our past and upcoming events throughout the following pages.

Education is a hallmark of the GBAA.  We are dedicated to producing several timely educational events for our members and friends.  Last year in 2012, we produced five special special events that covered topics ranging from tax and regulatory issues affecting flight departments, the 13th annual Charity Golf Tournament and our seventh annual Safety Day event followed by our second Casino Night social event.  Our charity golf classics have allow us to award over $230,000 to students and aviation professionals since 2004.

In 2013 we are excited to welcome Major Brian Shul, USAF (Retired) Pilot, Patriot, Photographer and Author as our keynote speaker at the Charity Golf Classic dinner on May 3rd.  Brian was shot down during the end of the Vietnam War, unable to eject he suffered life-threatening injuries and was told he would never fly again.  After months of intense physical therapy, he became an A-10 Demo pilot, a Top Gun instructor and ultimately an SR-71 pilot.  Brian's phenomenal comeback story is truly one of triumph over tragedy and one that offers an inspiring message for all.

The 2013 GBAA Scholarship window is now open and available through March 1, 2013.  You can obtain an application by clicking on Scholarships & Mentoring.  Some of the events we have planned for 2013 are - a Business Aviation Maintenance Seminar & IA Renewal on February 7th; an Emergency Response & Family Assistance workshop in late March; Our 14th annual Charity Golf Classic and Scholarship dinner on May 3rd and our annual Safety Day in late August.  While other organizations are best at addressing the numerous national issues or are social clubs, the Georgia Business Aviation Association exists to voice the concerns of business aviation in Georgia.

Blue skies and tail winds,
