ABOUT THE GBAA
Message
From the Chairman
Welcome and thank you for your interest in the Georgia Business Aviation Association. 2010 is shaping up to be a year of economic and regulatory challenges for our industry. As an aviation industry member you recognize the value of business aviation and what it has to offer to our economy and our lives. However, business and general aviation interests of late have been unfairly portrayed and misrepresented through the media and by our politicians among our community. It is our mission to promote business aviation in the State of Georgia, as well as to educate and advance the recognition of business aviation and its importance to the economy of the state.
We continue to be committed to producing quality, timely events concerning special topics of interest to Business and General Aviation. In 2009, we produced five special events that ranged from a cabin communications/entertainment static display to our annual Safety Day in which all were filled to maximum capacity. Our 10th Annual Members Meeting and Golf Tournament was highlighted by Captain Gene Cernan awarding 9 scholarships to students and aviation professionals. To date, the GBAA has awarded over $121,000.00 to 47 students and members! In 2010, we are planning to produce another five special events that promise to be of particular interest to business aviation.
We invite you to join other Georgia business aircraft operators and service providers in promoting our shared aviation interests by becoming a member. While other organizations best address the national issues or are social clubs, the Georgia Business Aviation Association exists to uphold the voice of aviation in Georgia.
