12/15/05 - Save the Date!

10/19/05 - Emergency Response Seminar a Success
Thank you to all who attended the Emergency Response Seminar held this week. Much was learned and the feedback was very positive. If you were unable to attend or would like to further develop your emergency response plan, contact the GBAA.

8/23/05 - Registration Open for Emergency Response Seminar
The GBAA and Southeast Safety Roundtable are pleased to present a Emergenecy Response Seminar on October 17-18, 2005. Presented by Aviem International, the 2-day seminar will cover all aspects of an aviation crisis response with a special emphasis on helping the people affected including family and co-workers. 8/2/05 - Over 80 Attend Luncheon with Ed Bolen
The networking was strong and the information was stronger. Over 80 of the industry's finest gathered to hear speeches from NBAA, GBAA and Georgia DOT. Learn more.

7/20/05 - Additional Wildlife Fencing to be Intalled at FTY
Working with members of GBAA, FTY has budgeted electronic fencing to be installed inside the perimeter of the airport. 95% funded by the FAA, the fence is scheduled to be installed Summer 2006. These actions are in response to safety concerns after a corporate operator struck two deer during landing in April. No injuries to crew or passengers. Thank you to airport and county authorities for their efforts to keep safety a priority at Fulton County-Brown Field.

5/17/05 - GBAA Board Elects New Officers
The GBAA Board elected its newest officers. Serving as Chairman is David Small of Cox Enterprises, Vice Chairman is Harry Nuttall of The Home Depot, Secretary is Jeff Agur of The VanAllen Group, and Treasuer is Vickie Adams of Global Aerospace. Congratulations to all.

5/13/05 - GBAA Awards $12,000 in Scholarships
Congratulations to the 2005 Scholarship Award winners. Each of the winners were able to join the GBAA and its members at the Annual Meeting to receive their award. The GBAA is proud to continue this program and promote aviation careers in the great State of Georgia.

5/13/05 - Another Members Meeting & Golf Tournament In the Books
154 golfers, numerous volunteers and sponsors braved the Georgia heat to participate in the 6th Annual Members Meeting and Golf Tournament. It was a great event with lots of networking and fun. Thanks to all who participated! Enjoy the pictures and results.

5/13/05 - Members Elect New Board Members
Congratulations to Bruce Egart of AFLAC and Mark Molloy of The Coca-Cola Company on their recent elections to the GBAA Board. We are all excited to have them come aboard. Bruce and Mark fill the empty positions of Mike Scheller of AFLAC and Mark Hewlett of B&C Aviation. Mike and Mark completed their terms on the Board. We greatly appreciate all their hard work as a Board member!

3/14/05 - NBAA President Ed Bolen to visit Atlanta and GBAA Members

Mark your calendars! The GBAA is pleased to announce that NBAA President, Ed Bolen will be joining us and our members for a luncheon on August 1. Come join us as Mr. Bolen provides us with an update on the NBAA, our industry and the issues effecting both. Invitations and registration instructions will be mailed soon.

2/22/05 - Board Officer Update
Long time Board member, Dave Small has been elected to assume the role of GBAA Vice Chair. Dave fills the vacancy created by the departure of Skip Moore as he concentrates on business ventures. Skip, thank you for all of you time and efforts! The Board also elected Jeff Agur of The VanAllen Group to assume the role of Secretary. Welcome aboard!

1/1/05 - GBAA Addresses Concerns to Fulton County Board
The GBAA has submitted a letter to the Fulton County Board sharing its concerns over the elimination of night-time ATC services at Fulton County-Brown Field (FTY). Effective January 1, 2005 the tower is unattended during the hours of 10PM-6AM on weekdays and 10PM-7AM on weekends. The GBAA is working with local operators and the NBAA to resolve the issue with the Fulton County Board.
