100 attended GBAA's inaugural Safety Day and heard nine
great speakers spread the word on numerous safety topics.
It was a great day for learning and networking.

- Safety Day Receives CAM Approval!
Great news for NBAA Certified Aviation Managers
(CAMs): attendance to GBAA Safety Day will count 1-point
toward recertification. The first regional event to receive
this acknowledgement, GBAA is proud to offer continuing

- GBAA Welcomes New Board Members
Congratulations to Frank Bell of FlightWorks, John Skelton
of Southern Company and Greg Woods of Georgia Pacific. They
have been elected by the membership to the GBAA Board of
Directors. These gentlemen replace outgoing Board Members
Scott Beale, Don Clevenger and David Davidson. The GBAA
and its members extend deep gratitude for your time, advice

- 7th Member Meeting & Golf Tournament a Success!
Over 150 friends and colleagues joined the GBAA in celebrating
Cinco de Mayo at Flat Creek Golf Club in Peachtree City.
Starting with a fun afternoon of golf and leading into Captain
Al Haynes sharing his unbelievable story and proudly ending
with $15,000 in scholarships, the annual meeting was festive,
informative and inspirational.

- FAA and NBAA Speak to GBAA Members
Last week, representatives from regional FAA offices presented
and informative session on many topics including the pending
Airspace Flow Program. Nearly 50 GBAA members learned important
details about the program set to launch on May 1. To learn

- GBAA Announced $15,000 in Scholarships for 2006!
GBAA's growing scholarship program takes another quantum leap forward by announcing this year
it will award 9 scholarships totaling $15,000. Application
deadline is March 20.
