Towards the end of the Vietnam war, Brian's aircraft was shot down near the Cambodian border. Unable to eject and sustaining life-threatening injuries, Brian was told he would never fly again. After months of intensive care, and fifteen major surgeries and physical therapy, he returned to active duty. He flew as an A-10 airshow demonstration pilot, became a Top Gun Instructor and culminated his career by being selected to fly the Top Secret SR-71 spy plane - the fastest, highest flying jet in the world! After 20 years and 5,000 hours in fighter jets, Brian retired from the Air Force in 1990. Now a highly acclaimed author and photographer, Brian has authored five books on flying - all including his own original photography. Brian's phenomenal comeback story is truly one of triumph over tragedy and offers an inspiring message to everyone that we can always move forward, go farther and succeed. ********************************************************************
